Nursing Director

Kathryn Joy Tyler, RN, BSN, CCM, is the Nursing Director for Kolbe Clinic.  She graduated in 2007 with her bachelor’s in nursing from the Honor’s Nursing Program at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  She joined Kolbe Clinic in 2017 and has worked in Medication Assisted Substance Use and Mental Health since then.  She became the Nursing Director for Kolbe Clinic in 2020.  She is a Certified Case Manager (CCM) through the Alabama Department of Mental Health.  She is the primary case manager for the Chelsea and Tallassee locations.  Joy has worked in many different roles throughout her nursing career including pediatrics, emergency room, PACU (recovery room), and primary care.  Her favorite by far has been helping patients overcome their addictions and helping them to go on to live happy and productive lives.  When she is not working, Joy enjoys spending time with her two children, J.D. and Grayce, and her husband Matt.
