Executive Director

J.M. “Mickey” Trimm, PhD is Executive Director for Kolbe Clinic.  Dr. Trimm has been working in healthcare in Alabama for more than 40 years.  He joined Kolbe Clinic in 2019 following his retirement from UAB.  He holds degrees in engineering and business, obtained prior to his PhD in Health Care Administration.  Over his career he has worked extensively in rural health throughout Alabama.  Mickey is responsible for overseeing the general administration of the clinics as well as business development.  Mickey currently serves on the State Health Coordinating Council which develops the Alabama state health laws, the State Opioid Council’s Workforce Committee, and the board of the Alabama Performance Excellence Program, a national Malcolm Baldrige affiliate. He works out of Kolbe’s Birmingham Office.  When not focusing on improving the addiction services for the state, Mickey enjoys jazz music and developing his farm in rural Tuscaloosa County.
